FOR COMPANIES SEEKING CAPITAL

AI investors in the UAE

Raise capital around a clear AI business case. Show the customer problem, commercial evidence and economics behind your technology.

No member login required · Optional PDF pitch deck

Lead with the customer outcome

Explain the problem you solve and how customers measure the benefit. Separate paid deployments from unpaid trials, pilots and letters of intent. Show usage, retention and conversion evidence where available, and identify how much human support the product still requires.

Show the economics behind the model

Include inference, training, hosting, data and support costs in your margin explanation. If the product depends on an external model provider, explain pricing exposure and how service changes could affect delivery. Present realistic unit economics at current usage as well as your forecast at scale.

Explain differentiation and responsible deployment

Describe what you own: software, data rights, workflow integration or specialist expertise. Explain how performance is evaluated, where the system can fail and how customers remain in control. For UAE and regional expansion, describe language requirements and the practical steps needed to deploy with customers.

Calculate the cost of a usable AI outcome

Illustrative monthly example — not a benchmark

InputIllustrative value
Tasks processed20,000
Outcomes accepted under a stated evaluation rule18,000
Model and inference costUSD 2,400
Infrastructure and data delivery costUSD 600
Human review costUSD 3,000
Total included delivery costUSD 6,000
Cost per accepted outcomeUSD 6,000 ÷ 18,000 ≈ USD 0.33

The denominator matters: cost per attempted task would be USD 0.30, which answers a different question. Include the cost of retries and rejected outputs in the cost pool. Training, product development, sales and other overhead are excluded here; list them separately and explain your own reporting definitions. This calculation is not total company profitability.

Attach an evaluation record

Record the customer task, baseline, test period, sample size, acceptance rule, failure categories and human escalation process. State whether evaluation data represents live customers, a pilot or a test set. Keep paid deployment, technical acceptance and customer retention as separate measures.

The NIST AI Risk Management Framework provides a voluntary reference for organising AI risk considerations. Citing it does not mean a product is certified or that UAE-specific requirements have been satisfied.

Customer value
Choose the task your product improves and show the baseline, measured result and evaluation period. Distinguish a successful demo from a repeatable paid deployment.
Defensibility and dependencies
Explain your software, rights to data and workflow integration. Describe reliance on external models and how customer delivery would be affected by changes to those services.

Next, budget the next commercial milestone.

For your company brief, document the UAE company and customer evidence.

If your AI product operates in financial services, add the fintech operating model.

Questions before submitting your company

What if most customers are still in pilots?

Label paid and unpaid pilots separately. Show their duration, decision criteria and conversion to contracted use where available. A pilot is useful evidence, but it should not be presented as recurring revenue unless it actually generates it.

How can we demonstrate an advantage beyond access to a model?

Explain the customer workflow, domain knowledge, integrations and data rights that support the product. Show measurable customer outcomes and repeat usage. Identify what the company owns and what is supplied by third parties rather than making unsupported claims about proprietary technology.
